If u ask me who are the top solo japanese male artist , i would mention hyde, ken hirai and gackt. There are not many solo japanese male artist as successful as them. Hyde is more towards alternative rock and hard rock while ken hirai more towards pop and r&b. Although i prefer listen to Hyde than Ken Hirai, Ken Hirai song is as good as Hyde and other famous japanese artist
